Stunning twisted legs and arm supports. Remarkable pyramid stepped beehive carved ends to the arms.
The shaped back incorporates finely carved Gothic tracery, while the generously proportioned arms and solid frame provide both comfort and durability. The rich walnut has developed a warm, mellow patina over many years, enhancing the natural beauty of the timber.
Equally suited as a hall chair, library chair, desk chair or occasional armchair, it makes an impressive statement in both period and contemporary interiors.
Presented in excellent antique condition, with a well-preserved finish and only minor age-related wear consistent with its age and use. Some aged worm holes long dead.
