A refined Edwardian cheval mirror crafted in richly toned mahogany displaying elegant proportions and fine carved detailing typical of the period. The shaped rectangular mirror plate is housed within a gently moulded frame, supported by turned uprights with carved finials and a decorative frieze to the base.
The mirror retains its original cheval action, allowing smooth adjustment and making it both practical and visually appealing. Raised on shaped legs with scroll feet, the piece has a light, graceful stance and works beautifully in a bedroom, dressing room or hallway. A classic Edwardian form that combines functionality with understated decorative charm.
Condition
Very good antique condition, with a warm colour and attractive patina throughout. Light surface wear and minor marks consistent with age and use. The mirror plate is clear and the frame is solid and stable.
