Howard And Sons Style Open Armchair C1880

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Billy Hunt & Co.

A fine looking late 19th period open armchair in the style of Howard and Sons, this one looking particularly attractive with the lesser seen oak frame which we prefer to the numerous mahogany ones which were created. It also benefits from being raised on, off white Cope & Collinson castors.

This one sits well with a good stance and rake. The oak frame possesses pleasing age wearing and the upholstery a trellis patterned ivory coloured flatweave fabric is good with a few fade marks, no holes etc and with tight springs and is comfortable. If you wish for new upholstery our upholsterer could complete the job for £490 plus VAT and you would require 5 metres of fabric which we are happy to assist with sourcing samples etc.

A rather handsome looking armchair C1880 ready to place or for reupholstery - the choice is yours.
