Late 19th.c. French gilt frame mirror c.1870. Could be hung either way to make a tall narrow hall mirror or as a landscape overmantle. 23" x 51" mirror plate within a wooden frame with lovely gilded gesso rope twist surface and wavy moulded edges. Original gilding attractively worn to reveal the red ground below. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
