Bold and well made, the sinuous line between the top rail and uprights is particularly well resolved.
These are a very masculine pair of chairs of George III/ Regency inspiration, byt less compromising and more brutal looking. I wonder if the stencilled numbers under one of the chairs might be a military stock reference?
Frames in good condition, minor and typical wear, one back leg slightly loose, cane seats require attention.
