Condition Report:

This is a fine quality antique harlequin French set of six kitchen chairs, in the Louis XV style, made from solid oak and beech, with a ladder-back design, including two armchairs, circa 1920, in good original condition.

This is a harlequin (matched) set of French oak chairs comprising two armchairs and six side chairs. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair frames have been glued and the wood has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. There is minor colour variation to the set of chairs. The chairs incorporate rush woven seats, with historical minor colour variation and in-keeping with the age of the chairs. These kitchen chairs are solid in joint and are of good quality. The eight oak kitchen chairs are solid in joint; they do not wobble and are ready to use.
