''The Snowdonia Chair'' - a rare and beautiful Welsh comb back Windsor chair in ash with elm seat. The shaped splat, in figured ash, sits beneath an unusually deep comb top rail and the whole has a generous proportion. Until recently this chair was in a Welsh dealer''s private collection for more than thirty years. The chair was souced from the Conwy valley, from where it is thought to originate. Original condition with evidence of historic surface woodworm, on the ends of the armbow, which is however structurally completely solid.
