The lion mark on at the rear panel is the trademark for the French clockmaking firm Duverdrey & Bloquel. Based in Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont, this manufacturer was highly active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, commonly producing brass carriage clocks
