Pair of 19th Century French Wing Chairs

A Pair of 19th Century French Wing Chairs with Rams' Head Carving.

These handsome winged bergère armchairs have finely carved detailing throughout. There are guilloche motifs to the front and side seat rails, ribbon bound rod detailing to the backs and fluting and floral carving as well. The most outstanding carving however, is reserved for the rams' heads which act as terminals on each of the arms. The chairs are carvers' masterpieces and really decorative.

A very fine pair of chairs.
