A handsome Victorian oak desk chair dating to around 1880.
The chair features a newly upholstered black buttoned leather backrest, finished with individually hand-tacked brass studs that complement the warm tone of the oak frame.
The shaped oak seat is supported by elegant spindle sides and a sturdy stretchered base, giving both visual appeal and excellent stability.
Raised on well-proportioned legs, the chair has a comfortable form suitable for use at a desk, library table, or as an accent piece.
A characterful and practical late-19th-century chair, presented in very good condition.
