Antique Savonarola Armchairs by White, Allom & Co.Circa 1910.This same design also by White, Allom & Co was used as a throne chair (chairs of state) at the coronation of King George VI in 1937 and most recently by King Charles III 2023.Each chair has polychrome painting to the x frame and a herald shield.The frames have been restored and are now sturdy and ready for upholstery works.Width 82cm x 63cm Depth x 99cm Height, with a seat width of 61cm, seat depth of 41cm and seat height 57cm. (Please note one chair is slightly taller than the other)White Allom & Co were established in 1905, by Charles Carrick Allom (1865-1947), and were decorators, furniture manufacturers and antique dealers for many major collectors and clients in the UK and USA.
