An exceptional full period Chippendale Rococo mirror of large proportions, to the crest sits a magnificent Ho Ho bird, one of the best I''ve seen. Superbly carved throughout with S and C Scrolls, with sections of acanthus leaf, fruit and flowers around the old but not original oval mirror plate. The back has a lovely dry surface just as we like to see, really showing the age of the piece which is in remarkably good and solid condition.A fine example of an English country house piece, made in a leading workshop of the Chippendale period.
