Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The 80cm tall, gilded mirror with a decorative flower basket pediment top dates to circa 1890, evidenced by the aged back, small gilding chips that reveal the gesso or stucco plaster beneath, applied with a later mirror back.
