A beautifully shaped, early English antique traditionally upholstered side chair by Howard and Sons around 1840, prior to them stamping their name onto chairs, but stamping this with the Howard & Sons two lines of model and stock codes. In excellent condition, the frame is rock solid and the upholstered innards are all intact. Stands on walnut legs that have the original Copes & Collinson’s high quality, strong brass castors. A lovely early country house antique Howard chair, perfect for a bedroom.
