Description

A smart and beautifully designed antique mahogany and leather carver armchair / desk chair. This was made in England, it dates from around 1900-1910, though it could possibly be earlier.

It is of outstanding quality, the solid mahogany frame is beautifully carved with lovely decorations and a rope twist design under the armrest. The front of the armrests are carved with acanthus leaves and scroll over, pierced back has lovely carving at the top. This stands on beautifully tapered and grooved legs.

We have had the seat re-upholstered in a hand coloured russet leather, the mahogany frame has been re-polished. This is in excellent all round condition.
