Rare Early Pair of Gordon Russell Antique Armchairs

A wonderful, very rare and high quality pair of English Gordon Russell antique walnut armchairs that date to the early twenties. Large scale and comfortable, this rare early Russell design is made in solid walnut with lovely square inset burr walnut panels to the back rest splats. Beautifully made, fine pegged construction with shaped open arms, original leather upholstered drop in seat pads and standing on square front legs that are connected by stretchers. They are both in superb, original condition, strong and ample, in the original finish and having the original early Gordon Russell makers labels. A rare early Gordon Russell model.
