Georgian Burr Yew Tea Caddy 30cm C 1800

Georgian burr yew tea caddy dating from c 1800 and in super condition.
 
It''s 30 cm wide x 16 deep x 18 high and comes complete with key.
 
Inside there are two hinged lids, also in burr yew, and they each slide out. The original mixing bowl was sadly missing when it arrived, and we have had to add a replacement.
 
The inside of the lid is lined in velvet with a tufted decoration. There are a few age related marks to the velvet, but nothing too bad and we have left it for originality.
 
There are lion''s head brass handles to each side with drop rings. The boxwood stringing to the edges is all in place. The wood was a bit dry when it arrived and so we have cleaned and polished it, and it now looks superb, absolutely ready to go.
