Description

A rare antique pine rod box for transporting salmon rods. Likely made by Hardy, this box is in good condition retaining the original leather straps and carrying handle. There is no key for the lock. Painted in white to the outside is ‘The Duke of Grafton, Euston Hall, Thetford’ a useful piece of Edwardian or Victorian fishing kit with a rather grand provenance. The Duke must have had some very long rods.
