A Large George II Giltwood Pier Mirror with Original Glass Plate 77" x 38"

A fine example of a large high quality Georgian Pier Mirror.

The rectangular plate in an eared frame with flowered trellis ground, ribbon-and-rosette and egg-and-dart borders surmounted by an arched broken cornice centred by a foliate carved cartouche, above a flowered trellis frieze with foliage, the shaped apron centred by crossed palms and an acanthus-carved cartouche, flanked on each side by a mask, the sides with flowers

Overall Size: 77 in. x 38 in. (195.5 cm. x 97 cm.)

The mirror is in superb original condition and is ready to hang.
