A delightful mahogany gossip chair by Wheelers of Arncroach, Fife, attributed to the well-regarded collaborations with Sir Robert Lorimer. The chair features a classically styled back with an open splat and gracefully curved top ends. It stands on square tapering legs joined by an H-stretcher, with an additional cross stretcher to the rear for stability. The drop-in seat pads are upholstered in a chequered fabric—clean, though gently faded with time.
