An Unusual Low-backed Darvel Chair Attributed to Hugh Shields, Ayrshire, Late 19th Century

Description

This chair just stands so well....

The birch frame with ash top rail united in colour by the use of a reddish/brown shellac

Seat height 42cm

The frame is tight and sound with minor isolated wear.
