Description

Here we have a wonderful George IV Yew and Elm Windsor armchair c1820. As you can see the chair has remarkable colour and patina in fact one of the best colour chairs we have had. The hoop top rail has a stick back and decorative central splat. There are well shaped arms with beautifully turned supports. There is a thick grainy Elm saddle shaped seat which is the only wood that is not Yew wood. The legs are again superbly turned and joined by an H stretcher. A wonderful period Windsor armchair in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 113 cm high 58 cm wide 45 cm deep.
