Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A two-part corner display cabinet is a tall piece of storage furniture engineered specifically to fit into the right-angle corner of a room. It features an upper glazed section for display and a lower section for enclosed storage, designed in two separate pieces for easier transport and assembly.

Cabinets from this era were commonly constructed using dense hardwoods such as walnut, mahogany, or oak. The doors feature glass panes framed by wooden astragal glazing bars, assembled using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery.

Authentic period pieces showcase natural timber grain variations, hand-fitted joinery along the carcass, and brass hardware such as keyhole escutcheons. Internal shelving and door frames often exhibit minor hand-finished irregularities characteristic of historical manufacturing.

Position the cabinet in an underutilised corner to optimise floor space while adding vertical structure. Arrange ceramic tableware, glassware, or books on the internal shelves to create a focal point against warm wood tones.

Dust the timber surfaces regularly using a soft, dry lint-free cloth and apply a clear beeswax polish once or twice per year. Clean glass panels using a mild glass cleaner applied directly to a microfibre cloth to prevent liquid from seeping into wooden glazing bars.
