A robust, well-made and comfortable chair, that could work well as a desk chair.

The firm is best known today as one half of the famous firm of Whytock & Reid, a partnership formed in 1876. However by this time R. Whytock has been established for 40 years and counted The Earls of Mansfield, The 4th Marquess of Bute and Queen Victoria among their patrons.

Seat height 44cm

The upholstery has two small holes at the top, see image, it would look very smart with leather button upholstery.
