A lovely oval repeater with the classic curved handle typical of oval Drocourt carriage clocks. The case has a nice gilt finish with a beautiful oval top glass showing the original escapement and sitting on attractive stepped base, as well as original curved glass panels to all sides. The front and back glass do have chips in the corners but are otherwise in excellent condition. The movement is of good quality with push repeat button, striking on a gong, stamped no. 15380 on the baseplate, along with ''4297 Julin 11/1889 S'', most likely a mark from the retailer, circa 1890.As seen on T.V.
