French Antique Company has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Beautiful 19th century French gilt Louis XV mirror.
It has its very elegant real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame in excellent condition with no chips. It has lovely Louis XV gesso detail to its shell and floral crest and sides.
It has its original wide bevelled glass with no scratches but some foxing (see photos). I love this as it show it is antique glass but this is personal preference. Please enquire if you would like the glass replaced with new glass.
It has all its original backboards.
It would make a stunning overmantel in an elegant living room.
