Large Antique French Painted Mirror

Description

Dimensions:W: 130cm (51.2")H: 190cm (74.8")

Large antique French overmantel mirror in excellent condition.

The lovely painted gesso frame dates from the late 1800s and has lots of ornate detail including its large Louis XV crest. There are no chips or cracks.

Its glass has gorgeous light foxing in places but the reflection is clear. There are no scratches.

Designed as an overmantel above a large fireplace, it would also work well hanging alone on a large wall or sitting above a dresser as in the photo.
