Victorian walnut writing slope with brass corners, vacant cartouche and matching escutcheon. There''s a working lock and key and it opens to reveal a quality black toooled and embossed skiver, pair or inkwells, a pen tray, lidded compartment and nib compartment. There is a lock on the top writing board but no key. Inside there''s a concealed spring loaded panel that opens to reveal three secret drawers.
Size: 17.3/4'' (45.2cm) wide x 10'' (25.3) deep x 7.1/8'' (18.2) hih.

Dealers note. This is a good slope in good condition but some of the brass shows signs of age related knocks and wear. Not as perfect as our usual stock but very acceptable. Close-ups of the dents are available on request or we can also offer a FaceTime or WhatsApp video call if required.
We welcome and encourage visitors. We are available by appointment only Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm, other times by arrangement.
