Antique Treen 19thc Fruitwood Gentleman's Vesta / Snuff Box. Continental C1840-60.

Description

An unusually small mid 19thc fruitwood vesta / snuff box with "trick" opening.... you slide open the top section and then the middle section pushes back and can slide across to open and reveal the snuff /tobacco...it still retains the original "rasp" paper for striking a match and is nicely decorated with a punchwork pattern......to top it all off, is it is made of pearwood and is initialled E.L.P. .....in very good condition with a fine natural colour.

Continental. C1840-60.
