Spectacular Yew Antique Carved Box

This Spectacular 19th Century Yew Antique Carved Box / Table Top Casket dates from ca. 1860 and comes with magnificent carved relief decoration. The moulded lid has continental silver decoration with handle and the interior has several stationary compartments along with secret drawers. There is a key but it is a little temperamental. The front and sides have the most magnificent carvings of the last supper and this beautiful antique box stands on small turned bun feet. It has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
