A fine pair of antique Georgian style mahogany carver armchairs. They were made in England, we would date these from around the 1900-1910 period.
They are extremely well made and beautifully designed in the Hepplewhite style. The pierced shield backs have a lovely shape and nice carving at the tops. They sit on nicely tapered legs with double stretcher supports for extra stability.
We have had them re-polished and re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric, the condition is excellent for their age.
