We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

These drinking vessels were typically crafted from lead crystal or flint glass, often shaped using a combination of mold-blowing, hand-cutting, and facet-cutting techniques on the bowl and stem.

Authentic pieces often exhibit characteristic pontil marks on the base, minor surface wear consistent with age, slight irregularities in the glass weight or bubbles, and hand-cut facets rather than uniform machine moulding.

They can be used functionally as water goblets or wine glasses to add historical texture to a tablescape, or displayed on a sideboard as part of a curated antique glassware collection.

Antique glass should always be washed by hand in warm water using a mild detergent, avoiding sudden temperature changes and harsh dishwashers to prevent thermal shock and scratching.

A rummer is a heavy-bowled drinking glass with a short stem and a broad foot, popular in the 18th and 19th centuries in Britain for serving rum, ale, cider, and later, wine.
