A set of 6 carved Hepplewhite mahogany dining chairs. Shaped top rail above a back with finely carved vase shaped centre splat and side slats. Stuff over seats above moulded square tapering front legs and plain back ones. The chairs are in country house condition and would benefit from re-covering, 5 chairs are Circa 1790 and one ( with the tapestry seat) is a Victorian copy, one chair is taller than the others as it was tipped on the feet to accommodate a smaller person , could easily be put back to the same height as the others or may even be useful as is. The chairs are a good colour and patina and great value. English Circa 1790..Seat height is 44cm.
