Large 18th Century Burr Elm Hand Chair

Description

Superb large size 18th century Scottish (Chippendale design) solid elm and burr elm veneered hand chair. This is a really nice country Scottish chair with the added unusual feature of a burr elm veneered back. The whole chair is original (apart from a couple of old veneer repairs to the back) and is a gorgeous colour with waxed finish. Drop in seat with needlework cover. Just a really nice example of 18th century Scottish vernacular furniture.

SIZE; 24" wide by 20" deep by 39" high. Seat height is 19"
