Description

Set of 8 large Charles II style dining chairs c.1930. Six chairs plus two matching carver armchairs. Tall backrests featuring a cane panel within a carved and pierced frame featuring a crown motif and scrolling foliage. Flanked with twist carved stiles topped with turned finials. Shaped and moulded arms to the carvers on turned supports. Cane seats (height 17½") with a carved frame. Turned and block legs joined at the front with a wide stretcher with carved and pierced detail repeated from the top rails. Bobbin turned stretchers to the sides and rear. Presented as found, good colour and condition with no damage to the canework.
