It is a traditional shape with a buttoned back, deep seat and outward scrolling arms.
It is upholstered in a beautiful floral fabric with a pleated skirt around the base of the chair. The upholstery is not new and is showing some signs of age and use with some minor stains and marks and some discolouration around the back of the skirt but it is excellent quality and the chair still displays very well. It is perfectly usable as it is or provides a good strong frame for recovering.
The chair is in good condition for its age. It is strong and sturdy and very comfortable. There are some light marks and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. There are signs of historic worm in the rear legs which has all been treated as a precaution.
