An interesting and well-turned beech chair, in original ebonised finish.

With pleasing inset bone details throughout the frame, in the Jacobean style.

Dating from the mid-late nineteenth century, showing stylish flashes of both John Pollard Seddon and William Burges.

Structurally sound, with minor imperfections. Cane-work also sound.
