Description

A very attractive Victorian Gothic Revival oak letter / correspondence box with working lock and key, c.1880.

The box boasts finely carved tracery to all sides with two slot openings to the top for 'Answered' and 'Unanswered' letters. The hinged lid opens with a key to reveal a divided interior; a compartment for each slot.

The box remains in a very good condition throughout. A lovely looking piece.
