William Birch Arts & Crafts Antique Armchair

A large scale English 19th century antique solid oak armchair, designed by William Birch in the Arts and Crafts era, this is a very good, original example. Large proportions and featuring lovely wavy oak back splats and with ring turned decorations to the legs and stretchers. A very comfortable Arts and Crafts antique armchair with the original intact and strong traditional rushed seat, wide splat arm rests and this William Birch armchair stands well on pad feet. In very strong condition and still in the original finish. English and dating to around 1870. Perfect for dining, desk work, lounging or as a side chair.
