This is a fine quality antique English single Regency dining chair, from the George IV / Regency period, circa 1825, which has been newly upholstered to a professional standard, in good original condition.
The stuff-over seat frame is raised on moulded sabre front legs, with splayed legs to the rear. This single Georgian mahogany dining chairs boasts the original polish; therefore, it has a fantastic depth of colour and patination, displaying a lovely mellow red and brown colour. The “stuff-over” seat has been newly upholstered to a professional standard in a soft earthy tone colour chenille upholstery, finished with matching braiding. The upholstery is therefore clean and free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, the labour cost to recover the seat in a fabric of your choice is £45.
Condition Report:
This is a fine quality antique English single Regency dining chair, from the George IV / Regency period, circa 1825, which has been newly upholstered to a professional standard, in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chairs but nothing significant considering their age. Old cosmetic repairs to the “scroll ears” which are solid in joint (top of backrest). The single Regency mahogany dining chair has been glued solid in joint. The chairs frame has been cleaned and wax-polished in our workshop by hand, to a professional standard, therefore, the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The seat has been newly upholstered to a professional standard. The upholstery is therefore clean and free from wear and marks. This Georgian mahogany dining chair is solid in joint and ready to be used.
