Elegant early 19th century French gilt mirror from around 1820 in superb condition.

This mirror came from a beautiful Nice hotel.

It has its real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame with beautiful ornate Louis XV crest and side scrolls with no chips. The gilt is all original and stunning.

It has its original mercury bevelled mercury glass. Mercury glass gives a sparkle and reflection like no other and was not made after 1840. It is very difficult to find bevelled mercury glass.

It has all its lovely original backboards.

It is the perfect size for an overmantel mirror in a large room or free standing leaner mirror in a bedroom, lounge or hall.
