A very good quality set of six early 19th century dining chairs by the famous cabinet makers Gillow''s of Lancaster and London. A strong set with reeded legs, well carved backs and usable upholstery in faux brown leather.
All in good condition, small mark to the upholstery and old treated worm to one back stretcher as shown on photo. Seating height 48.cm Dated 1830.
Very similar chairs to the chairs in the Gillows of Lancaster book 1730-1940 by Susan Stuart.
