A superb quality, late 19th century Gainsborough open armchair, in the manner of Paul Saunders.
 
George II style with crisp carving, fluted and reeded forelegs and underarm supports.
 
With traditionally upholstered needlework and damask to the reverse.
 
Both the chair and upholstery are in good condition, small sympathetic repair to piece of side moulding.
