A simple and elegant William IV mahogany wall mirror. The mirror is very simple in design but also good quality. The mirror has a chamfered edge frame with a pediment top that uses plum pudding mahogany in the frieze for extra detail. The top edge of the pediment has a great deep ogee curve to it giving the whole a strong architectural look. The mirror plate is the original and has a lovely shallow bevelled edge. The mirrors silvering is very foxed giving it a superb misty period look. The whole is in great untouched condition with the mahogany having a good patina and colour. C.1835
