Georgian Dark Oak Country Side Chair Early C19th (George III Dining)

Description

A Georgian period, dark oak, country side chair, dating from the early C19th. This chair features and concave top rail, lathe splat back. Solid plank seat, raised on ring turned, and block front legs on bun feet. Square rear legs, and supported by stretchers.

An unusual country chair. In good original condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This chair measures approximately 101 cm (39.75") tall, 46.25 cm (18.25") wide, and 44 cm (17.25") deep. The seat height is approximately 48 cm (19").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good and original condition commensurate with its age. Some odd minor marks and blemishes. A few minor old and extinct worm holes, typical of old oak antique furniture, that does not affect the sturdiness of the chair in any way, and now treated as way of precaution, not obviously visible. A little charming aged wear. Good colour, polish and patina. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
