A highly decorative pair of painted armchairs, in the Gothic style. C.1890
Sculpted from beech in the medieval taste with ogive arches and cluster column forelegs, in the manner of James Wyatt.
Painted in a rich cream with gilt detail and caned seats. Traditional horsehair fitted squab cushions, upholstered in a coral cotton fabric.
Of superb quality and in excellent original condition.
