Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
This an attractive set of chairs, one carver chair and 5 singles with a wavy ladder back in the Traditional Georgian style, with the stretchers all round for strength and the front stretcher is heavy and turned.
The chairs have traditional woven rush seats with a little wear but there are still many years of useful life left before they will need re rushing, there are no loose joints breaks or other imperfections
The chairs are 40” high at the back and the seats are 18” high
