Description

A Georgian period, oak carver open armchair, dating from the late C18th (George III). This solid oak framed carver features a solid vasiform splat, open arms, with turned supports, solid plank seat, raised on square legs supported by H-stretcher.

A handsome, quality country chair. In good original condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This chair measures approximately 100.5 cm (39.5") tall, 61 cm (24") wide, and 55.5 cm (21.75") deep. The seat height is approximately 43 cm (17).

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good and original condition commensurate with its age. Some odd marks and blemishes. Small loss to the left side of the splat back. Some joints reglued, otherwise all good and original. No loose joints. Cleaned and waxed polished. Good colour, polish and patina. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
