Description

A Georgian period, fruitwood carver armchair, Circa 1800 (George III). This solid fruitwood (likely pear or apple) framed carver features a four splat and ball back, open arms, with turned supports, solid plank seat, raised on square legs supported by H-stretcher.

A handsome, quality country chair. In good original condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This chair measures approximately 90.75 cm (35.75") tall, 54.75 cm (21.5") wide, and 55 cm (21.5") deep. The seat height is approximately 44.5 cm (17.5).

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good and original condition commensurate with its age. Some odd minor marks and blemishes. Some old and extinct worm holes, typical of fruitwood antique furniture, that does not affect the sturdiness of the chair in any way, and now treated as way of precaution. Chips to the corners of the feet. Good colour, polish and patina. Very serviceable and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
