Pair of Antique French Scroll Back Armchairs

19th century
Description

A good pair of late 19th century French armchairs, with scroll-over square backs and sprung seats, raised on ebonised turned supports terminating in original castors. Upholstered in gold coloured damask pattern cut velour and velvet fabrics with ornate rope detailing and bullion fringe to the bottom edge.

A very comfortable pair of chairs, in good condition throughout, the velvet is a little gruby at the edges and would benefit from a steam clean.

I am also able to arrange re-covering and supply fabric if required - please get in touch for further details.

88cm high, the seats 70cm wide at the front edge, 62cm deep and 40cm high, the total depth is 96cm.
